Birmingham Neuro-Ophthalmology Course

The Birmingham Neuro-ophthalmology Course aim to provide a practical guide to neuro-ophthalmology for ophthalmologists, neurologists, medical doctors, specialty trainees, orthoptists and optometrists of all grades. The aim of the afferent course is to review the physiology and the pathology of optic nerve disorders spanning from papilloedema to common and rare optic neuropathies. The efferent course will address the physiology and the pathology of eye movements and provide an overview of challenging conditions such as myasthenia gravis, multiple cranial nerve palsies, nystagmus, infranuclear and supranuclear disorders. An overview of essential imaging modalities including OCT and neuroimaging will be provided.
